The Israeli military says it has launched targeted strikes in southern Lebanon, accusing Hezbollah of violating a U.S.-brokered security arrangement reached in June.⁣ ⁣ The operation comes a day after the latest round of U.S.-facilitated talks between Israeli and Lebanese officials in Rome aimed at easing tensions along the border.⁣ ⁣ Before the strikes, Israel issued an evacuation warning for residents of the southern Lebanese village of Mansouri, marking its first online evacuation notice for Lebanon in more than a month. The military said it would act against Hezbollah positions in the area.⁣ ⁣ The renewed strikes come despite a U.S.-brokered security arrangement agreed on June 26, under which both sides pledged to reduce hostilities. Israel has said it will continue maintaining a security zone in southern Lebanon to counter what it describes as the ongoing threat posed by Hezbollah.⁣ ⁣ #Israel #Lebanon #Hezbollah #MiddleEast
