I almost didn’t share this because authors are usually encouraged to talk about the wins. The rankings. The sales. We don’t talk as much about what it feels like when a release doesn’t go the way we hoped. On release day, Twisted Intelligence had zero ebook sales. There were pages read through KU, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Local bookstores also showed up for me in a huge way. They ordered copies, supported the release, and one sold out! But seeing that zero still hurt. It was the exact thing I had been afraid of. And then something surprising happened: I survived it. I woke up the next morning, still proud of the story I wrote. Still excited about the world. Still ready to move forward with the sequel. The worst thing I thought could happen as an author happened, and I didn’t break. Maybe that’s the real win. Twisted Intelligence is out now. And I’m still here. 🤖❤️ #enemiestoloversromance #darkromancereads #enemiestoloversrecs #dystopian #emotionalromancereads @Kandi Stei...
