I’m a big believer in celebrating the big things: birthdays, anniversaries, promotions and the milestones we’re taught to mark. But I think there’s something really special about learning to celebrate the in-between, too.
But I’m an even bigger believer in celebrating the things that don’t always come with a card or a party. Making it through a hard year. Leaving something that wasn’t right for you.Reuniting with old friends. Starting a new chapter. Doing something you’d been scared to do. I don’t want to save all the good wine, beautiful dinners, spontaneous plans or reasons to gather for the “big” occasions.
Sometimes the occasion is simply being here. And I think that’s worth celebrating. 🤍
