Lime Wood had been on my bucket list for a while. And despite it being practically on my doorstep, I’m so often hopping on a plane to try hotels further afield that a proper English countryside escape just hadn’t made it onto the calendar yet. Safe to say, it was worth the wait.
Set right in the New Forest and only around 90 minutes from London, it feels like a proper change of pace without needing to travel very far at all.
The biggest standout for me was the food. I think it might be the best food and beverage of any UK hotel I’ve stayed at. Every meal we had was exceptional.
But it was also all the smaller details: really thoughtful service, beautiful interiors, long walks straight from the hotel and how accommodating the team were with Einstein.
