The Department of Photography + Film is pleased to showcase Saige Richardson’s (@creations.by.saige) work titled “Mailbox Full” which was recently screened in our “Brain Stew” Exhibition! 🎞️ This film was shot on 35 mm film and etched using sharpies for her Film as Material class. She created the etching her sophomore year but turned into what we know as “Mailbox Full” her senior year. She states that “I was experiencing new health concerns, dealing with a legal battle, helping my family members through their own health battles while still trying to enjoy my everyday life and achievements–my mailbox begins to fill, reminding me of what I’m missing while I doodle during class.” - Saige - @vcuarts
