Lucy Davis, best known for starring as Dawn in the original British version of The Office alongside Ricky Gervais, has revealed she has Stage 4 breast cancer. The 53-year-old actress shared that she was diagnosed a year and a half ago and that the cancer has metastasized to her bones, including her spine, hip and ribs. “As of now, I’m trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can,” Lucy wrote in an emotional post, adding that humour has been “most vital” to her as she navigates the incurable disease. “I’m not scared of whatever comes next. I’m at peace with it,” she continued.
