Namibia’s best kept secret?! 🌿🐘 Did you know Namibia has its own version of Botswana’s Okavango Delta? Smaller, greener than anything you picture when you picture Namibia… and few tourists have ever heard of it. Zoom in on a map 🗺️ and find the skinny strip poking out of Namibia’s northeast corner, wedged between Botswana, Angola, Zambia and Zimbabwe. That’s where we found ourselves after a 3-day drive across the country. Elephants have moved through this corridor for centuries (before the countries’ borders even existed). 🐘 Then the poaching started. Rangers were under-resourced and floods blocked access to the islands… and the wildlife population nearly evaporated.
