What if you could see disasters before they happen?
Google DeepMind built AlphaEarth Foundations.
They call it a virtual satellite, but that undersells it.
It combines satellite data, radar, climate sensors, and 3D maps into an AI model of the entire planet, tracking 10x10-meter squares of vegetation, rainfall, and soil over time.
Because it combines radar with imagery, it monitors areas hidden by clouds and predicts what happens next: wildfire risk, floods days in advance, illegal deforestation before it's visible, early crop failure signs.
The UN, Harvard, and Stanford already use it.
The real surprise is who can access it. Available through Google Earth Engine , no satellite, no supercomputer, no PhD.
Just an internet connection.
