After Krabi, we flew to Bangkok, but we did not head straight to the city… We took a (long) detour to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Thailand. It was the capital before being moved to Bangkok. So it was a perfect place to start our travels through this part of Thailand and before heading to the city. This was the view of the Temple Phutthaisawan from our hotel @salaayutthaya . We later took a boat ride, compliments of the hotel, across the river to see this temple up close! Although I have to admit... Visiting Ayutthaya was motivated by a certain 90s movie.
