Next up on our world cruise test run: Panama City, PANAMA 🇵🇦 We really wanted to see Panama City, Panama 🇵🇦 because of its relation to our home 🏡 We lived in Panama City, FLORIDA prior to hitting the road to pursue full-time travel. (Also Kristian, my husband, was born there and a lot of our family lives there.) Panama City, Florida was named after Panama City, Panama around the time of the building of the Panama Canal. It was planned that goods brought into the U.S. from the Panama Canal would arrive in port at Panama City, Florida. Then the goods would be transported by train to Chicago for the rest of the U.S. ✍️ If you draw a straight line from the Panama Canal to Chicago, then Panama City, Florida is right there in the middle. 📍 Check it out for yourself on a map 🗺 How cool is that?! 🤗 It was a must-see for us, and it did not disappoint!
