Happy Independence Day ❤️🤍💙 While in Philly last week for a conference, I slipped away for a few hours to explore some American history. Swipe ➡️ Pictured here are: 📍 Liberty Bell 📍 Independence Hall (where the U.S. Constitution was signed) Both are part of the nationalparkservice and FREE to all! 👍 Go late in the afternoon, like I did! There were NO LINES and I was only one of a few people on the tour through Independence Hall. I really appreciated how these parks highlighted the progress made since 1776 - the work toward TRULY fulfilling the inscription on the Bell: "Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof" The Bell became a major symbol for movements, such as Civil Rights and Women's Suffrage, to name a few... so many more, not only in the U.S. but also internationally, highlighted in the museum at the Liberty Bell.
