Today, my book is officially out in the world. 🥹📖🇵🇷 And I keep thinking about where all of this started. In my kitchen. With a phone. Cooking the food I grew up eating, telling the stories I grew up living, never really knowing where any of it would lead. I just knew I loved our food. I loved our culture. I loved the way a meal could carry a memory, a person, a place… an entire lifetime. And somehow, little by little, you all made room for me. You cooked with me. You shared my recipes. You told me about your abuelas and your mamás. You trusted me with your memories while I shared mine. And today, I get to hold COOKING CON OMI in my hands. My first cookbook. Mi gente… I wrote a BOOK. 😭 A real, tangible love letter to Puerto Rican cooking, to my family, to the people who taught me, to the island that made me, and to every person who has ever found a little piece of home in something I cooked.
