From the day I rescued Finley over 9 years ago I knew how hard it would be to watch him age.
He as traveled with me city to city. Together we’ve had 19 different home from off-seasons to in-seasons. He goes with me everywhere.
When he was 5 he had his first
#seizure Very scary but my research and the treatment plans the vets made let me know he can have a normal life with idiopathic
#epilepsy he certainly has.
I cooked his food for him every day since, and his seizures have been just a couple times a year, under a minute local and just focal seizures he recovers from quickly.
Last year the vet said let’s ween him off his meds (750 Keppra 2x daily) and he went a full year without one.
Last week he had his first seizure since but it looked like the other ones. Short, months in between, under a minute, fast recovery.
But just a week after that he had another. Right before that seizure he flung off the couch and defecated in my house moments before seizing which was very abnormal....
