That’s not a contradiction. That’s body recomposition. The scale measures your total mass. It cannot tell you how much of today’s number is: * Body fat vs. muscle * Water retention * Glycogen * Food still being digested * Bowel contents * Inflammation from hard training And this is where a lot of people screw up perfectly good progress. They see the scale stall for three or four days and immediately cut calories, add cardio, or assume their metabolism is “broken.” Look at trends, not snapshots. Track your weekly average weight, but combine it with waist measurements, progress pictures, how your clothes fit, and what’s happening with your strength in the gym.
