What does it take to protect a tiger? A thriving ecosystem. In central India, UNESCO's Panna Biosphere Reserve brings together forests, wetlands and rivers that sustain an extraordinary diversity of life. It is home to the Panna Tiger Reserve, a Critical Tiger Habitat, as well as hundreds of bird species, rare mammals such as the caracal and blackbuck, and a rich variety of plant life. Panna is also home to more than 300 villages, where communities and nature are deeply connected.
