Heritage is not only what we preserve - it is also how it is understood, experienced and shared. When communities are involved, heritage interpretation becomes more meaningful, inclusive and truly #ForThePeople. Through a shared vision, UNESCO and rcu_ksa support community-driven approaches that foster dialogue between visitors and local communities. Central to this work are AlUla’s Rawis - cultural practitioners who interpret and communicate AlUla's heritage, connecting people with its places, knowledge and cultural practices.
