🗣️ In a world where every tongue tells a story of resilience and identity, unesco ignites hope by preserving Gabon's Baka and Koya indigenous languages—empowering the next generation to speak their truth through education.​ Partnering with the Gabonese National Commission for UNESCO and the Université Omar Bongo's UNESCO Chair, the project "Je parle koya. Je parle baka" is safeguarding and promoting two of Gabon's indigenous languages: Koya (northeast Gabon) and Baka (northern Gabon).​ 📺 Ethnographic surveys in Minvoul and Mékambo gathered essential expressions, lexicons, and cultural knowledge, yielding social media and TV capsules that foster linguistic education and heritage transmission.​ On International #MotherLanguageDay, discover more about the project, and the importance of language preservation for future generations.
