We don’t want spirituality to become a checklist. We want direct access to Hashem.
That is what we mourn on Tisha B’Av and what we must work to rebuild: a deeper tefillah, a more honest relationship with Hashem, and a greater appreciation for every person created b’tzelem Elokim.
The Beis Hamikdash is not only something we remember. It is a connection we yearn to restore.
