darth maul barely had any screen time, barely said a word. he didn’t need a monologue or a tragic backstory explained to us over 45 minutes, didn’t need to tell us he was dangerous, he just walked into a scene and the entire energy changed. everything about him was designed to make you go… oh shit. then you get the duel of the fates. and don’t even get me started on the saberstaff. this man was doing all of that with basically five lines. obviously a lot of layers were added after phantom menace, but for a time, that movie was all we had. he’s definitely on my “hear me out” cake 😭😂 #darthmaul #starwars #thephantommenace #cinematicedit #filmedit
