i genuinely think killmonger is one of the greatest villains marvel has ever written. he made people question who the real villain actually was.
the best villains aren’t completely wrong, they’re people with understandable motivations who choose the “wrong” way to achieve them. a justifiable villain if you will.
killmonger grew up abandoned and watched injustice happen his entire life. he saw people who looked like him suffering across the world while wakanda, a nation with the power and resources to help, chose to remain hidden.
his anger was born from grief and loss, stemming from generations of pain. he genuinely believed he was fighting for justice. he believed violence was the only language the world would understand, and the only way he could be heard.
killmonger’s final monologue reinstated his life mission, refusing to be imprisoned, claiming he’d rather die than live in chains.
it’s one of the most powerful endings in the entire mcu because for a moment, the movie stops ...
