At a time when global headlines can feel dominated by division and conflict, the documentary "Sacred" steps back to explore faith as a primary universal human experience. Directed by Academy Award-winner Thomas Lennon and shot by more than 40 filmmaking teams worldwide, this film travels through 25 countries to show how people around the world find comfort in rituals and prayer as they face life’s biggest challenges, but also celebratory moments. The film dives into the personal lives of ordinary people, from the joys of birth and growing up to the struggles of adulthood and honoring the dead.
