The 97th running of the annual Bud Billiken parade took place today on Martin Luther King Drive through Chicago’s South Side. Over 300 groups participated and it is recognized as the largest African-American parade in the country! 🎉 The Bud Billiken parade is widely seen as a monumental kickoff to the school year for Black youth and celebrates education.
