Meet adoptable Kittery, or Kitty for short. And yes, Kitty is indeed a dog, not a cat, but the nickname kind of fits. She can be a little aloof at first, but once she decides you are her person, her sweet side comes out quickly. Kitty is a 2.5 year old, 40 lb mixed breed girl who has been doing great in her foster home. She is currently coexisting with, believe it or not, an actual kitty. They are not best friends, but they live peacefully in the same home, which feels like a pretty solid cat-friendly check. Kitty also loves meeting new people and will quickly settle in for pets from strangers. Before coming to us, Kitty was overlooked for months in a municipal shelter, simply because she was not young, fluffy, or tiny. Larger, more mature pups often get left behind, and we just could not let that be her story.
