This one pulls at our heartstrings 😭 Meet Lucy, a 10 year old, 42 lb Heeler mix who recently lost the only home she had known. She was surrendered to the shelter after her former owner had to move out of the country to seek treatment for a major medical illness and, heartbreakingly, could not take her along. As an older gal, the shelter was a hard adjustment. While other dogs were jumping up for attention, Lucy was the one sitting quietly in the corner, trying to make sense of it all. She sat there, frozen and shaking. But, within a few minutes, she was gently asking for more affection 🥹 (swipe to see the two videos). Well, we have a soft spot for the gentle ones, and now we would really love to help her find her next chapter.
