Cal will be wearing their 1970s Joe Roth uniforms for their season opener against UCLA 👀 The uniforms resemble those worn during Joe Roth’s time as Cal’s QB in 1975 and 1976. Roth played the entire 1976 season for Cal while knowing he was dying of cancer. He passed away in February of 1977, just three months after his last regular season game. Roth’s #12 jersey is the only number Cal has ever retired in program history.
