Growing up in the projects, watching his mother raise five children on very little taught O.J. mental toughness and an appreciation for everything she sacrificed. His first major purchase? A house for his mom. Today, that same spirit of giving back is behind his annual Charity & Celebrity Golf Classic, which helps provide college scholarships to deserving students who have the potential to succeed but need financial support to take that next step. It’s more than a golf tournament.
