For the first time since 1999, the state of Alabama will be represented in the Little League World Series. A familiar name led Phenix City back to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, too. Kinley Rasmus pitched a complete-game shutout in a 4-0 win over Nolensville. She is the daughter of former MLB pitcher, Cory Rasmus and niece of MLB outfielder, Colby Rasmus. Kinley allowed just three hits and struck out eight players. She would be the 25th girl to play in the 79-year history of the Little League World Series, according to the organization.
