My Telecom predictions 🔮 I recently headlined a US Telecom summit. The briefing was clear: share your future vision and predictions for 2030. Outsiders, trends, technologies. US vs global. Alright, I said. I’ll do the opening keynote plus audience Q&A. But my predictions tend to shake up venues, so I have two rider terms: EXTRA SECURITY in the venue. And PROTECTIVE NETTING around the stage, to catch the eggs and tomatoes. 😅 The organizer thought I was joking. I was. Mostly. They often laugh at my predictions. I have a telecom background. Predicted UMTS would perish. Called Virgin Mobile to beat BT and O2 as UK operator of the year. Got into SpaceX/Starlink private equity in Q1 2019. My prediction accuracy rate: 84%. So keep laughing. 😆 My forecast: Starlink becomes America’s most valuable telco by 2030.
