His father confirmed his passing, concluding an 11-year battle following a catastrophic brain injury sustained in the ring. Prichard Colón is a former professional boxer from Puerto Rico who suffered a severe, career-ending brain injury on October 17, 2015, during a fight against Terrel Williams in Fairfax, Virginia. Throughout the nine-round bout, Colón was repeatedly struck illegally in the back of the head (rabbit punches).
