Student Excellence Awards finalists Sophie Machesky, Alexis Mosier, and Madison Richards presented yesterday in front of campus faculty, staff, and local community members! Machesky presented her work on "An Internal Communications Plan for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette." Mosier explained her research on "The Effects of Additional Probiotic Treatment on Type 2 Diabetes." Richards explored her research on "Exploring the George-Floyd Effect: Judgments of Sentences for Crimes by Race." After deliberation, a winner will be announced during the Student Awards ceremony on Friday, April 26. They will be awarded $1,000 and have their name engraved on a permanent campus plaque. The other finalists will each receive $500. A round of applause for their tremendous work! 💙🦁
