The eternal is always present; only the sense of “I” appears and disappears.
The “I” creates the illusion of separation and hides the truth of our wholeness. We mistake this temporary identity for who we truly are. But the “I” is not the Self. The true Self is the silent awareness that witnesses the “I” come and go—unchanging, timeless, and always present. The “I” thought has been fooling us for years, convincing us that happiness is somewhere outside of ourselves—in the right partner, the right teacher, the right book, the right job, the right place, or the right circumstances.
But eventually, experience teaches us that none of these things can give us lasting happiness.
The answer was never outside of us.
The answer is within.
You are the answer.
When our happiness depends on a person, place, or thing, it is conditional. True happiness needs no external reason to exist.
It is not something we find or achieve.
