BEYOND THE MINE: VINCE SCOTT Vince spent his summer interning with the Illinois Department of Transportation as a field engineer on a road expansion project for Illinois Routes 47 and 176. He assisted consulting engineers with surveying, daily reports, and monitoring landscaping, drainage systems, curb installation and asphalt paving. He also had the opportunity to visit IDOT headquarters in Springfield, where he toured new facilities and networked with fellow interns. #MinerPride #BeyondtheMine
