A man found guilty of touching women's hair as he sat behind them on Metro trains — and posting video to social media — was sentenced Thursday to 180 days in jail.⁠ ⁠ Bryan Betancur, of Silver Spring, Maryland, was found guilty of simple assault in D.C. Superior Court a day earlier.⁠ ⁠ "It's just a creepy thing to do," the judge said Wednesday in court.⁠ ⁠ Betancur was accused of surreptitiously fondling a woman's hair on a Red Line train in February.⁠ ⁠ The judge sentenced Betancur to the maximum time and gave him credit for time he’s already spent in jail, meaning he will be required to serve about another 54 days.⁠ ⁠ At the sentencing hearing, prosecutors pointed to how he bragged about violating the victim’s personal autonomy, referenced previous convictions and said his behavior appeared to get worse.⁠ ⁠ “He is terrorizing the community,” the judge said.⁠ ⁠ The defense asked for him to be released on time served, and the judge refused.⁠ ⁠ Betancur spoke briefly, said he was dealin...
