THE COLOR OF SUMMER-INTROSPECT A short series about the space between two kinds of light — the sun coming through a window, and strobes modified
Available light is honest. It shows up how it wants, it moves while you shoot.
Manufactured light is the opposite — gels, gobos, hard sources, a color you chose on purpose. One reveals. The other decides.
The whole series lives in the switch between them. Same room, same model, same afternoon — but the mood turns over completely depending on which light is doing the talking. Backlit and blown out. Then teal and controlled. Then magenta. Then nothing but a sliver in the dark.
None of that works without a subject who can hold a moment. The poses aren’t poses, they’re pauses — and she found the vibe in every single one.
Light sets the room. The person sets the tone.
