Imagine this 😳 Primary schools in England should be required to identify children at risk of leaving education without finding a job, according to a recommendation set to form part of a government review into youth worklessness. Alan Milburn, who is leading the review, said the “warning signs” can appear from a very early age and argued that identifying those at risk sooner could allow schools and other services to provide more support. Under the proposal, schools would be expected to flag children considered at risk from the end of primary school, with factors such as attendance potentially taken into account. The recommendation comes after the number of 16 to 24 year olds not in employment, education or training reportedly surpassed one million earlier this year. #UKSchools #Politics #LADbible
