A North Carolina man will avoid life in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend’s former boyfriend outside the Stony Brook Yacht Club last year. Victor Panebianco admitted before State Supreme Court Justice Timothy Mazzei to chasing down and stabbing Christopher Millwater as he left the club in the early morning hours on Nov. 10.
