In June 2022, nonnative, predatory smallmouth bass passed through the turbines of the Glen Canyon Dam into the #ColoradoRiver. Without swift action, these fish, invasive in the Southwest, might devastate native populations of threatened humpback chub and other native fish in the Grand Canyon.   In our new film, learn how USGS and partners are working diligently to address the threat of smallmouth bass in the Grand Canyon.
