How to get a 4.0 as a D1 student-athlete:
I graduated in just three years with a 4.0 as an undergraduate STEM major from the University of Cincinnati, while also becoming an NCAA runner-up and 5x All-American by doing these 3 things.
1. Plan your week early!!
My coach always sends weekly workout plans on Sunday, so I use that plus my class schedule to plan out my day-to-day for that week.
I look at when I have time to eat, do some extra studying, and complete some homework all before I get home for the night.
Doing this helps me think less! I can just look at my phone calendar or my physical planner and already know when I have to eat, go to a meeting, down time, etc.
2. Do assignments early (especially in season)!
When you’re traveling on a plane every weekend, it can get overwhelming to make sure you have your assignments completed before Sunday at 11:59pm. This is why I always made sure to try to get my assignments done on the Sunday before they were due, or just before we le...
