The Miz revealed a WrestleMania pitch WWE rejected: a gauntlet lumberjack match where he would beat every former Intercontinental Champion, only for Ultimate Warrior's music to hit at the end. Speaking with TMZ, The Miz explained the finish he had in mind: Warrior runs down, hits three clotheslines and a splash, and pins him, because The Miz never beat the Ultimate Warrior. "That was my pitch. And it didn't go through." The Miz also said Brock Lesnar's show of respect toward Oba Femi was not scripted, describing Lesnar as someone creative does not direct, who simply acts on what he feels is right. And he pointed to restoring the Intercontinental Championship's prestige as one of his proudest accomplishments, saying he was fed up with it being a title people were thrown onto and wanted to make stories out of it.
