AJ Styles and Arik Cannon argued publicly over whether Styles' son Avery should have helped with setup at a GCW show in Minneapolis over SummerSlam weekend.

Speaking to The Wrestling Classic during a SummerSlam media junket, she praised Avery Styles and Marcus Mathers for their match at GCW's Rude Awakening, which she attended, saying she would love to get Avery into the Dungeon and that he wants to pay his dues. Fightful posted the quote on X.
Cannon, a Minneapolis native with more than 20 years in the business, responded: "As someone who watched this kid skirt away from helping with a single thing at this very show… I'd just like to say: L O F'ING L !"
