Still hasn’t quite sunk in yet. I’ve been looking forward to this moment for two years, knowing how special it would be to race in the national championships this year in my home state (at the University of Texas at Austin). I knew it would be hard to qualify, but not ~miss majority of regular season from injury~ ~get extremely sick 5 days out from the qualifying race~ ~get edged out at last second and make it in on a little q~ hard😅 (would not recommend, very stressful)

It has been a season of trials both mentally & physically, but in this moment, im just grateful. For my team, for my dad who flew out to watch, and for the opportunity to race at the track where I had the most special moments of my high school career - From breaking 5 minutes in the mile for the first time, to my first and only state medal, the UT track has such a special place in my heart and I’m so excited to be back there in two weeks🖤
