🌍⛷️ Summer skiing in Zermatt has been temporarily suspended for the public after weeks of intense Alpine heat and warm nights made it impossible to maintain the resort’s world renowned safety standards. The glacier still has snow. The challenge isn’t snow coverage. It’s keeping the terrain, glacier and lift infrastructure safe to operate. Swiss Ski teams will continue training on limited lanes, but the closure is another reminder of how quickly summer training plans can change.
