Before Tally Leonard and Jerry Leonard began their last routine on the Lloyd Center ice, an announcer said: “We gather to honor a love story etched on this very ice more than half a century ago.”
Jerry and Tally first skated together in 1967. They married in 1971. And while they haven’t competed in decades, they’ve skated together at Lloyd Center four days a week since the late 1970s.
Beloved regulars, they get the privilege of choosing their own music at the rink. On Saturday, it was “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole.
