A first driver fitting can change what a player thinks is possible off the tee. Zach works with Titleist experts and @meandmygolf. to find the right club setup to fix some swing errors in this episode of Solving the Puzzle. Zach arrived with a driver pattern that made confidence hard to build. One swing could miss wide right. The next could turn over left. The ball launched high, but the flight was not giving him the distance or control he expected, and every tee shot depended on how much room the fairway offered. The surprising part was the fix. Lowering the loft seemed like the obvious answer for a ball flight that looked too high, but the fitting pointed in the opposite direction. With Zach hitting up on the ball more than 7 degrees, the right setup needed to give him permission to move differently without forcing a swing overhaul.
