Turns out, the wildest thing I put on my vision board wasn’t a business goal. It was a weekend away with my partner 😂 For a long time, that genuinely felt more unrealistic than anything I could dream up for work. Somewhere in the chaos of motherhood, I’d stopped imagining certain things for me altogether. This weekend reminded me that we’re allowed to want things outside of being mums. Big things. Tiny things. Completely frivolous things. Things that require an entire army and a military-grade WhatsApp group to make happen 😂 The kids were happy. We switched off. We danced. We ate. We drank. And for a couple of days, the mental load wasn’t mine. I came home feeling lighter than I have in years. ❤️ So this is your reminder — and mine — not to edit yourself out of the picture. 40 next month.
