RELATIONSHIPS MATTER☝🏽 One of the most helpful things for my life in baseball has been building a vast NETWORK of College coaches, Evaluators, MLB scouts, and Event Coordinators🤝 I can’t even lie though, as a young coach a lot of times it was tough for me to walk up and introduce myself to a guy I never met before that had been in the game for many years prior, and had much more experience than I did. And to be honest I got Big Leagued more than a few times by some of them and that wasn’t a good feeling at all lol😑 However, I did a few things that I felt helped me a lot and might even help some younger coaches out there just starting their careers now. 1. I was brutally honest at all times about my level of knowledge and never tried to act like I knew more than I actually did about identifying and developing talent😎 2.
