Sometimes recovery is as simple as taking a walk.
We tend to think taking care of ourselves has to be complicated.
A perfect workout routine.
An elaborate morning ritual.
Another thing we have to optimize.
But sometimes?
You just need to get outside and move.
For me, exercise has become one of my most important ways to reset.
Sometimes that means hitting the gym or playing basketball.
But most of the time, it’s much simpler:
A 30 or 40-minute walk around the neighborhood.
Sometimes I use that time to think.
Sometimes I deliberately stop thinking.
And sometimes I throw on an episode of
@overdrive.radio , put one foot in front of the other, and just vibe. 😎🎧
Over time, that simple habit became more than exercise.
It became part of my identity.
And that’s an important distinction.
The habits that change our lives aren’t always the huge ones.
They’re often the small things we repeat until they become part of who we are.
