New court filings are shedding light on the extent of federal surveillance of Minnesotans who protested against ICE during Operation Metro Surge. Documents show undercover federal agents attended meetings, secretly recorded gatherings, tracked license plates and monitored activists online. The filings also describe agents joining a Signal chat used by citizens tracking ICE movements. An attorney representing one of 15 people federally indicted in connection with anti-ICE protests is asking the court to require the federal government to release all reports related to the undercover investigations. DHS said it does not comment on ongoing investigations or investigative methods. #ICE #DHS #OperationMetroSurge #MinnesotaNews
