Have you ever seen the Ceremonial Guard Band marching through downtown Ottawa in scarlet uniforms and bearskin hats while playing military music?
Itβs such a sight! And honestly, could there be anything more patriotic or more Ottawa than this? πΊπ¨π¦
The parade is part of the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Parliament Hill.
The Ceremonial Guard Band leaves the Cartier Square Drill Hall on Laurier St. next to City Hall and marches toward Parliament Hill, arriving in time for the Changing of the Guard ceremony at exactly 10 am.
Then, at 10:35 am, they march back to the drill hall.
β οΈ But hurry! This parade only happens Thursdays through Sundays, and Friday, August 14 is the last day to catch it this year.
