August 11th is National Presidential Joke Day! This day recognizes the humor that can be found in the highest office of the United States. But please keep the jokes light-hearted and civil, folks. For today, Howard letterpress printed an image from a solid type metal (lead alloy) cut that was donated to our museum a couple years ago. The cut is of the trademark logo for the Hoover vacuum cleaner company. The joke alludes to our 31st president, Herbert Hoover.
